Meet The Moffet Family.

Last Friday I met up with the Moffet family.  We met in Oskaloosa, KS, and then drove out toward Perry Lake to capture some family photos at Matt's parent's farm.  I grew up with Tina and after five years of college (I took it slow), we were able to get together and reconnect a bit.  Things have certainly changed for her since then, for she now has a great husband and three beautiful and funny young children: Hunter, Lili, and Laci.  The shoot was a lot of fun, and we could not have asked for a better day.  It was a bit chilly, but significantly warmer than the day before.  The farm was such a treasure to explore!  I only wish I could have spent more time there, exploring the old farm equipment and other treasures.  At one point, Matt and his father were chuckling about how much I "loved all that old junk."  And, I did.  My first find was a barbed wire sign shaped in the family name: Moffet.  Only later did I find out that Matt had made that in high school.  I certainly capitalized on the opportunity to include it in our shoot.  I was maybe a bit crazy with all the (new-to-me) stuff I wanted to check out, but by the end, Hunter and everyone else pitched in to find awesome things to include in our shoots.  The family find of the day was our final stop in the adventure: an old miniature shopping cart that was perfectly Laci-sized.  So, we sat her in it and she played a bit.
On my drive back home, I was really thinking about how much these photos will mean to them as they grow older.  Some of the photos I cherish most of myself and siblings were taken at my grandparents house.
Tonight I delivered the photos to the family and they were pretty happy to have them.  Hunter showed me his new birthday gifts and we all chatted for a few.  I'm so happy to know this family.  They're so genuine.  It's very refreshing.

These are just a few shots from last Friday.  Enjoy!  (I did!)
